<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emilien Joseph Ernest Gauthier on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the age of 90 years.<br><br>He was predeceased by his parents Théodore and Amanda Gauthier, two brothers Adrien and Florent and two sisters Anna and Albertine.<br><br>Emilien will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 68 years Emilienne (nee Gagnon), his three children Arthur (Jeannine), Laurent (Ghislaine) and Julienne (Edwin); nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings Lionel, Fernand, Aline and Anita as well as many nieces and nephews.<br><br>Dad had a passion for moose and deer hunting. He also spent many weekends fishing and camping on remote lakes with the family. We will miss you Dad. You were the best Dad, teacher and friend. Rest in Peace.<br><br>The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Ste. Anne Hospital for their care and compassion. A special thank you to cousin Jeannine Blanchette, and Dad’s sisters Anita and Aline for their support, help and kindness they showed.<br><br>A viewing will take place at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street on Tuesday, November 8 (tonight) from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 10 at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.<br><br>If you so wish, donations may be made in Emilien’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.<br><br></div>
