William “Bill” Desrochers
Passed away at the Victoria Hospital on Monday, August 8, 2018 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 86 years.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, his son Bob and his sister Helene (Rudy).
He is lovingly remembered by his soul mate and companion of 45 years Diane Plante, his sons Gilbert (Sandi) of Langley, BC and Guy (Shirley Mae) of Saskatoon, SK; his grandchildren Angela, Robert, Chantelle (Tasha), Tamara (Dean) and Alexis (Jody); his great-grandchildren Lindsey, Haley, Lucus, Sawyer, Levi, Mya, Josephine and Braxton. He is also survived by his sister Sr. Rose, Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, as well as Diane’s sister Linda (Brian) and their son Blair.
Bill went to Provencher School then worked for Nolan and Hunter as well as Brinks for over 35 years. He really enjoyed working there.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital for the excellent care given.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Donations may be made to the Diabetic Society of Winnipeg, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
