<div itemprop="description">GERTRUDE “GERTIE” ANNETTE FRASER <br> <br>(NEE DUFOUR) <br> <br> <br> <br>It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Gertrude “Gertie” Annette Fraser at the age of 93 years on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the St. Boniface Hospital with family by her side. <br> <br> <br> <br>Mom was born October 25, 1923 in Bénard, MB to Thomas and Denisa Dufour. She was the last survivor and youngest of 14 children. <br> <br> <br> <br>She was predeceased by her parents and dear husband Roland Fraser in 1990. <br> <br> <br> <br>Gertrude will lovingly be remembered by her five children: Linda (Georges Blanc), Roy (Suzanne), Denise (Alain Boisjoli), Gordon (Monique Lavergne), and Gilles “Patch” (Jocelyne); her grandchildren: Daniel Blanc (Adelle), Jean-Marc Blanc (Trent), Joëlle Blanc Paull (Gavin), Shawna Fraser (Stéphane), Sylvie Boisjoli (Eli), Stéphanie and Janelle Fraser; and great-grandchildren Garrett and Jett Paull. She will also be missed by her specials friends Claire Patry and her two “Bingo Buddies” Jeanine Franchuk and Paulette Jeanson. <br> <br> <br> <br>Maman was a loving and caring person with a “joie de vivre” and a wicked sense of humor. She was a cancer survivor from the age of 37 and lived to be 93. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandsons. Her grandchildren are honored to be her pallbearers. <br> <br> <br> <br>Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, March 17 at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190, ave de la Cathédrale with Father Léonce Aubin presiding. Interment to follow at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. <br> <br> <br> <br>The family would like to thank the wonderful care and compassion that Mom received at the St. Boniface Hospital. <br> <br> <br> <br>For those who wish, kindly send donations to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation ‘Palliative Care Unit”, C1026 – 409 Taché Ave, Wpg, MB R2H 2A6. <br> <br></div>
