On March 27th 2014 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age 82, God saw Eugenie getting tired and with His arms around her He carried her home to rest. Eugenie will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters Shirley and Louise, her two sisters Bernadette Desorcy mo, Florence Desorcy sjsh, her brother Georges and his wife Alice, three sisters-in-law Marie-Anne Desorcy , Milly Desorcy and Agnès Kozielec. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her parents Ubald and Alphonsine Desorcy, her sister Gertrude and her husband Ernest Adolphe, her sister Ida and her husband Aimé Landry, her brothers Gérard and Edouard, her sister Irene, her brother Léonard and his wife Diana and her in-laws.

Eugenie was born and raised in Lorette Mb. She married the love of her life Stanley Kozielec in 1955 together they had two daughters. Stanley was taken away from her in 1969. Eugenie was a woman of great faith and was devoted to her family. This was proven constantly. She was a caregiver to her husband Stanley who was bedridden with MS, to her aging parents and to her sister in the last year of Irene’s life. She did all this while taking care of her daughter Louise who was born with Cerebral Palsy. Throughout all these ordeals her door was always open to receive family and friends and was always ready to help anyone in need if she could and she always managed to. We would like to thank Dr. Nicole Caron-Boulet and all the Doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface Emergency for their wonderful care and compassion.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday April 2nd 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Précieux-Sang Parish, 200 Kenny St. Cremation and interment at Green Acres will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or World Vision Canada, 1 World Dr., Mississauga, ON L5T 2Y4.
