<div itemprop="description">PAUL ANDREW (Andy) SWEETNAM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />On Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the age of 48 years, Paul Andrew (Andy) Sweetnam, beloved husband of Tanis (nee Scott) and cherished father of Josh and Noah, succumbed to a lengthy battle with cancer at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. <br /> <br />Andy was born in Trenton, Ontario on March 27, 1967. He graduated from Bayside Secondary School and continued on to receive a Computer Engineering Degree from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario whereby he served for 13 years with the Canadian Airforce. <br /> <br />Andy was married on June 25, 1994 to Tanis and were together for 20 awesome years having had two sons, Joshua and Noah. <br /> <br />Andy worked as an IT Manager for Postmedia Network Inc. up until his passing. Andy enjoyed sailing, travel, camping, woodworking and especially loved being a husband and father. Andy was actively involved in his boys' lives and attended all their sports activities and never hesitated to be a &quot;Taxi&quot; Dad. He often volunteered to assist in the boys' scouting adventures and recently developed a love of kayaking. <br /> <br />Andy will forever be remembered by his loving wife Tanis, son's Joshua and Noah, devoted parents Paul and Marilyn Sweetnam, loving sisters' Elizabeth and Colleen Sweetnam and their families, Grandmother Hilda Magee, and caring in-laws Jean Scott, Michelle Hayden and Family, Tracy Hoffmeier and Family, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He will be especially missed by his &quot;Lexie Girl&quot;, our family dog who still waits for her daily walk from Andy at the end of the day. <br /> <br />Andy is preceded in death by his Grandfather Douglas Magee. <br /> <br />A Celebration of his Life will be held on May 30, 2015, at 2PM at Desjardins Funeral Chapel <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter. The family of Andy wishes to thank the endless healthcare professionals, family and friends who aided Andy in his fight and for making his last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. <br /> <br />Andy will forever by in our thoughts and memories. <br /></div>
