He leaves to mourn his three children: Philip (Donna), Rick and Laurel Ann (Ron); grandchildren: Val-Linda (Vince), Danielle, Richard, Kaylyn, Jennifer and Michael; and 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Maurice (Yolande), Pat (Yvette), Lucien (Leona), Louis (Pierrette); sisters: Annette (Gerald), Lucienne (Paul), Jeannine (Joe); in-laws: Joann and Marcel; and many nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his wife Alice of almost 40 years; grandson Philip Andew; brothers Roland and Claude; sister Yvette; sister-in-law Laurette and parents Ernest and Colombe Manaigre.

Dad grew up in Lorette, Manitoba and was married to mom from 1954 until her passing in 1993. They built a home in Ile-des-Chênes where they raised us three kids. Some on our fondest memories were of all the camping trips, dad loving music and playing his violin and forever paying cards. He was a caring man with a great sense of humor and loved to get you riled up if he could. A couple years after mom’s passing he moved to Place Des Meurons where he made many other friends and met Terry who became his best of friends and partner and a member of the family for the last 17 years. Thank you Terry for taking such great care of dad, he loved you dearly. Dad’s care needs increased so he moved to Actionmarguerite (St. Vital) last March until his passing. We want to thank the staff at the home for all the care they provided during his stay and for the support and compassion in dad’s last few days.

A celebration of Dad’s life will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

For those who wish, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
