<div itemprop="description">ROBERT GOUSSEAU <br> <br> 1936 –2017 <br> <br> <br> <br>Entouré de ses proches, Robert Gousseau est décédé le 11 janvier 2017 à l’âge de 80 ans à Winnipeg. Il laisse derrière son épouse bien aimée de 57 ans Marie-Adèle Gousseau (Philippot), ses enfants, René (Darlene), Richard (Anna), Normand (Alice), Michèle Buissé (Aimé), et Carole Morin (Gilles). De plus, il laisse ses petits-enfants, Joel, Christine, Danielle, Cédric, Zacharie, Patrick, Colin, Janelle, Aimé, Chloé, Danick et Chantelle ainsi que trois arrière-petits-enfants, Kaiden, Carter et Jonah. Il laisse aussi en deuil son frère Ovide (Jeannette), neveux, nièces et amis. Il fut précédé par ses parents Henri et Alice Gousseau ainsi que sa sœur Lucille et son beau-frère Pierre Courcelles. <br> <br>Pop était un homme de grande intégrité, une qualité qu’il tenait à transmettre à sa famille. Il valorisait fermement la vie de famille ce qui l’incitait de faire le camping et les rencontres familiales, d’être l’entraineur de hockey pour ses garçons et de rarement manquer les jeux sportifs de ses petits-enfants. Le sourire facile, il aimait rire, faire rire et il jouissait prendre part dans un bon débat. Robert a grandi à La Salle et comme un jeune homme, a aidé à la laiterie et la ferme familiale. En 1959, il épousa Marie et ensemble ils ont exploité la ferme familiale jusqu'à sa retraite en 2000. Il avait comme devise de travailler fort et de profiter de la vie au maximum. Pop aimait le curling, le golf, le camping avec sa famille. Dans leur retraite, Mom et Pop ont aimé voyager, danser et un bon jeu de cartes. <br> <br>Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le 18 janvier 2017 à 11h à l'église Mary Mother of the Church au 85 Kirkbridge Drive à Winnipeg <br> <br> <br> <br>Surrounded by his beloved family, Robert passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Robert is survived by his loving wife and life mate of 57 years Marie-Adèle Gousseau (Philippot), his children, René (Darlene), Richard (Anna), Normand (Alice), Michèle Buissé (Aimé), and Carole Morin (Gilles). He also leaves his much-cherished grandchildren, Joel, Christine, Danielle, Cédric, Zacharie, Patrick, Colin, Janelle, Aimé, Chloé, Danick and Chantelle as well as three great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Carter and Jonah. Robert also leaves to mourn his brother, Ovide (Jeannette) of Winnipeg, as well as nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dad was predeceased by his parents Henri and Alice Gousseau, his sister Lucille and brother-in-law Pierre Courcelles. <br> <br>Dad was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Family was of utmost importance to him. It was this love of family that inspired him as he cheered at many of his grandkids sports games and coached his sons in hockey. Dad was always quick with a smile, loved to laugh and never backed down from a good debate. He had very strong values which he made sure to instill in his children. Robert grew up in La Salle and as a young man, helped on the dairy and family farm. In 1959 he married Marie and operated the family farm until his retirement in 2000. He worked hard and played hard. Dad loved curling, golfing, camping with his family. In their retirement, Mom and Dad enjoyed to dance, to travel and a good card game. <br> <br>The family would like to thank Dr Permack and the staff of Victoria General Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion given to our father. <br> <br>A celebration of our Dad’s life will be held at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr in Winnipeg at 11am on Wednesday January 18, 2017. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 (phone 888-473-4636). <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
