Peacefully on June 19th, 2014, Antoinette Nolin, at the age of 81, passed away at Saint Boniface General Hospital.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Danny, her daughter Sharon, and son-in-law Rick Tabachuck. Ninette is survived by daughter Linda (Bruce), son Ken (Janet), daughter-in-law Lisa, and grandchildren, John, Daniel, Ryan, Kristin, Lindsay & Kelsey.

For 27 years, she was a loyal employee of the T. Eaton’s Company, where she started in the mail order and retired from the retail store in 1997. In her strong faith, as an active member of the Précieux-Sang community, she spent countless hours supporting the parishes’ needs through the weekly Bingo’s and other volunteer endeavors. For numerous years to follow, until her health could no longer allow, she turned her focus to those in need by volunteering her time at the Centre Flavie-Laurent.

Over the years she made many friends, especially during her time at Place DesMeurons. She always enjoyed special gatherings, celebrations and dinners held in the block, and in the earlier years, the lawn bowling. She loved to challenge others at a good old game of cards or Scrabble, as this meant she was spending quality time with family and friends. This past year, Ninette resided at Manoir Cathédrale where she was fortunate to renew old friendships and build new ones.

Family was always Ninette’s one big love, cherishing the special times spent together. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, she was always eager to hear of their stories.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Homecare staff, especially Leah & Nurse Jeannine, for their compassionate aid in caring for our mother. A further thank you to the exceptional staff from wing 5B at the Saint Boniface General Hospital. All of your compassion and care allowed our mother to live out her final days with peace and dignity, and for that we are grateful. Rest in peace mom, we love you.

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday June 25th, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Précieux-Sang Parish, 200 rue Kenny.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Antoinette’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
